A Cut Above

If you haven't seen yet... Emma Watson has cut her hair!

 If I were to get really analytical I would say her bangs need to be just a tad bit longer, but instead I will just say that I can't quite decide how I like it on her.
It seems that all my celebrity style icons have pixie cuts! Carey Mulligan, another of my favorites, has a short do as well... (and I loved her Prada dress at the Oscars!)

 They look so cute with this cut, but I think I would be too scared to ever try it myself! What do you think? Could you do a short do?

Party Shoes!

So, today just hapens to be my birthday eve eve, and I've been wishing for these shoes since I first laid eyes on them. Little did I know, that today on my birthday eve eve, I would get my first surprise present...

They are the perfect party shoes, and just so happen to match my party colors and everything! And even though I went in and tried them on and everything, we still got them gift wrapped, because its more fun that way! I think from now on I'll get all my nordstrom purchases gift wrapped...

All Tied Up

Though the hours of school usually make me feel confined to flats, and my height tends to deter me from daring to wear heels, I'm wondering if I should just give in and go for a pair of booties. I've been kind of loving the laced up military boot wedge for a while now, and I think I might as well get a pair for fall, even if I just wear them on the weekends and to work! There are so many outfits I can imagine would be perfect with a pair of these as a finishing touch. What do you think? Should I splurge?

Be Prepared!

Oh me Oh my! So sorry to be gone for so long! Vacation in California was the last hurrah of the summer for me, and now its back to rainy Utah and gearing up for Junior year! Eek!
I love summer, but fall is definitely my favorite fashion season of the year! I love the layers and colors and coziness of it all! This years biggest trend is definitely Military! There is so much you can do with this trend, from boots and jackets, to pins and hats!
However, my favorite take on this trend has been tweaking it to a more innocent version... Boy Scouts! While antique shopping with my mom, I found this perfect old Scout shirt!

{photos by me}
It's been too hot to wear yet, but I can't wait to pair it with a skirt, tights, and belt for early fall, and layer it with lace and chunky boots for the winter! You could even make your own Boy Scout uniform by searching in thrift stores, sewing patches to your own perfect button up, or borrowing from a brother!
Do you have a favorite fall trend?
How do you plan on wearing it?
