Mix It Up

If you're like me, with the change of seasons not only does your wardrobe change, but your music library rotates too. So long Pumped Up Kicks, Vampire Weekend, and The Beach Boys. It's fall now and I'm ushering in a new set of tunes.
I love BP's new collection of "Stationary & Journals" and love this Chronicle Books CD Packaging Kit! I'd much prefer a floral-topped disc than sharpie scrawled across the standard silver!
Since we're on the subject of music, I thought I'd leave you with a little mix of my own. Music can be such an inspiration even for your wardrobe! So here you are...

ROSIE'S FALL 2011 LIST TO PLAY:
1: Reasons to Love You - Meiko
2: Tokyo - Imagine Dragons
3: Double Trouble - Jack and White
4: The Cave - Mumford & Songs
5: Ghosts - Laura Marling
Oh, and while your listening, feel free to take a gander at this button making kit! Seriously. Want. And what I would give to have this little guy by my side while blogging away! Actually all of Juicy's desk/office "supplies" are to die for!)

BP Round Up: In love with... Button-Ups

Nothing seems more fitting for fall than a button-up shirt. Whether it be utilitarian chambray, classic silk, rustic plaid, or pretty floral, paired with a cozy sweater, it's a quintessential fall ensemble...

I love how these ladies pull off the button-up...

BP Round-Up... Favorite Fall Frocks

I haven't had much time to take a gander at BP's current stock of dresses lately, but I'm glad I finally got around to it! They've got some darling dresses right now! Here are my favorites and how I would wear them:

dress : blazer : boots : tights : hat

I love everything about this Lush Crossover Asymmetric Hem dress; the fabric, the colors, the details. Paired with some of my favorite accessories for fall like Dr. Martens and a floppy felt hat, the dress takes on a more casual and cozy look. A blazer and tights add warmth against cool fall breezes.

dress : skirt : heels : belt
Nothing says fall like a rich red hue, and this Lush Crystal Pleat Kimono dress is the perfect shade. For a bohemian layered look pull this skirt on under the dress with just a peek of pattern and ruffle. Heels and a skinny ombre belt keep it polished.
What are your favorite fall dresses from BP?

NYFW Round-Up... Skirting the issue.

Next up on our Fashion Week rundown is a round up of some gorgeous skirts and dresses. Whether maxi, ballgowns, or cocktail, I fell in love with these collections and their sweeping hemlines:
Project Runway alumni Christian Siriano. There is honestly nothing I love more than a fancy skirt with a t-shirt. I'm obsessed with the look. (I'm even wearing it to homecoming this weekend). And Christian Siriano is full of the combo - along with a gorgeous palette of hot oranges and lemon-greens.

Luisa Beccaria's Spring '12 collection is full of the white laces and dreamy colors that spring usually inspires. The dresses in the collection have a casual vibe in their elegance, and I can't resist a pretty dress.

Speaking of pretty dresses... stay tuned for a round up of some favorite BP's frocks this week!

NYFW Round-Up... Tory Burch

I'm so enchanted by these behind the scenes photos by Jamie from From Me To You.
It gives such a different experience from the bright lights & straight faces that are the end result on the runway. I love seeing the creative processes and planning that go into the shows, not to mention the details of the clothes up close!(And the photos themselves are gorgeous!)
I hope you enjoy her documentation of Tory Burch as much as I did...

Now where do I start with how obsessed I am with the '20's look that resurfacing this year. And I love how going back to the twenties when skirts were getting shorter, means that skirts are getting longer for us :)
See the collection front & center here.

NYFW Round-Up

I haven't been following Fashion Week as closely as I would like, but I have had a few times to take a peek at style.com and spot some favorites, which I will gladly share with you this week!
First off, Marc Jacobs.
Oh Marc Jacobs! Would you dare to wear a plastic skirt? I can't decide, but I love it on the runway!

Next up, Katie Ermilio, of which the colors and details I'm in love with...

Stay tuned for more on Friday!

Happy Feet

For being a creature of habit when it comes to footwear (just recently ran one pair out, holes in the soles!) I sure do love (and have) lots of shoes! This fall, I'm obsessed with these loafers...

I practically died when I saw the sparkles galore on these pairs in Nordstrom...

and of course I'm obsessed with basic black.
Not to mention the leopard, which deserves a whole post of its own!
